Wharf Improvements

Synopsis

Although the construction volume for the US Marines’ Guam relocation program has not lived up to initial expectations, HTBI’s team was awarded the flagship project: ground improvement and improvements to Uniform and Tango Wharves at Apra Harbor.¬†Atlas Geotechnical has been providing geotechnical quality control services to Healy Tibbitts Builders since our founding in 2004, and we were involved with HTBI’s efforts at Uniform and Tango Wharves fro the start. We prepared the ground improvement plan, prepared wave equation drivability reports for several pile types including 5-foot diameter bollard piles, monitored ground improvement and piledriving, managed the geotechnical QC program, and generally contributed to HTBI’s efforts wherever we could.
